＊night outで「夜の外出」ですが、次のlight outは多分韻を踏んでるんだよね？ここちょっと分かんないのですが、lights outだと「停電」とか「消灯」って意味なんですけど、light outは「出ていく」って意味になるんです。どっちの意味なんだろう？彼女はyou're dressing for workなんだから仕事のために着替えてるわけで、やっぱり消灯時間(夜)じゃなくて朝帰りして、「お前が出ていく時間に俺は現れた」ってことかと思いました。
＊I'll put you throughで「電話を繋ぐ」「卒業させる」「経験させる」「試験などを受けさせる」という意味らしいです。ってことはwhat I'm gonna put ya throughっていうのは「僕が経験させるもの」ってことかな。
＊shots and powderでshots=酒とpowder=粉末の薬、だから酒とドラッグ、ですかね。
＊'Till I woke up a thousand days laterって、「今から1000日後に目覚めるまで」って最初思ってたんですけど、I woke upって過去形だから、未来じゃないなと。
つまり、

＊この曲はメロディがすごく好きで、耳に残るし、そんなに深く考えずに聴いていたのですが、こんな歌詞だったんかい！洋楽って歌詞の意味が直接脳に伝わらない分、意味を知ってびっくり！ってことが多くて楽しいです(笑)。
主人公はクズな男ですけど、完全に開き直ってる感じじゃないところがまたクズ感漂ってますね♡そして子持ちのアダム・レヴィーンがダメ男の歌うたってんのちょっとときめくなー(笑)。
