＊”Sugar”ですが、普通に考えると「砂糖」「甘さ」「シュガー(恋人への呼びかけ)」になると思うんですけど、Wikipedia先生によると

Jon Caramanica of The New York Times wrote that on the Levine sounds most lecherous while singing the lyrics "I want that red velvet, I want that sugar sweet." According to him "he croons so cleanly it's possible to imagine that he is truly singing about cake."
とありますので、まあほぼ間違いなくこの歌ではYour Sugarは君のセックス、という意味なんだろうと…。Red velvet cakeもスラングではvaxxnaみたいな意味があるっぽいです。

＊なので、総合的に判断すると

は、身も蓋もない訳しかたをすると「君としたい、来て僕に乗ってよ」みたいな感じになるのかと。
ただ、まあMVも結婚式ですし、わざわざ”sugar”という言葉を使うからには、そんな直接的な言い方はしませんけどそういう雰囲気を読み取ってほしいなー、という意図も感じますので、「君の愛がほしい、来て僕に分けてよ」くらいかなと思ってます。
＊Little love and little sympathyは直訳すると「少しの愛と少しの同情」になりますが、ノリ的には「同情するなら愛をくれ！」って感じかなーと。。なので、「僕はここにいるよ、だって少しの愛と少しの同情が必要だから」っていう部分は、you got me beggin, beggin I'm on my kneesを受けて、「僕は君に愛を乞うためにここにいる」って感じかなと思いました。
＊「君」「愛」という言葉が頻出するので意訳ではかなり削ってます…。
＊実はこれが一番最初に書いた和訳記事なのですが、アップするの、何となくかなり後になってしまいました。MVも含めてとても好きな曲です。
