もしまた泊まっていってくれるなら、寝室のドアを閉めてくれない？
＊きみを部屋に泊まらせるたびに宙ぶらりんな気持ちになる、ってことは、僕はもっときみにいてほしいけどきみは早く帰ろうとする、って意味で、rush=急いで帰る、つまりことが終わったら泊まらずに帰ろうとする、ってことなのかなぁ？って考えたのですが、そもそもstay the night, up in the morningなんだから夜通しいるわけで、すでに朝になってますよね？ちょっと状況がよく分からんです。すでに別にrushしてないのでは？
もともとは男性の方が関係を先に進ませたい歌だと思ってて、
早く帰らないで、歯ブラシを置いて行って＝泊って行ってor一緒に暮らそう
って意味なのかな、って思ってたのですが、すでに泊って行って朝一緒にいるのにdon't have to rushというのは、関係を急いで進めなくていいよ、って牽制してるのか？とか深読みしてしまった。。
でもやっぱり、
内緒にしたくない、きみを離したくない
って歌ってるし、僕が一生懸命「急がないで」って言った結果、朝を一緒に過ごせるようになったってことなのかも。
＊色々見てみると、ジョー・ジョナスが当時恋人と破局したのでその状況を歌っている、としているサイトさんもありました。 I can’t let you goを「離したくない」「帰したくない」と訳していたのですが、「別れたくない」の意味かもしれないですね。しかし先入観なしで読むとやっぱり関係が深まる前の2人って感じがします。
＊Break an iceで「打ち解ける」って意味なので、Break up the iceで「打ち解けて」、とか「リラックスして」、って意味かなーって思いました。
＊ちなみに出だしが”Baby”の歌詞サイトさんと”Maybe”の歌詞サイトさんがあるのですがどちらが正しいのでしょうか？
